Signature Partner: Monitor Group
An Unparalled Partnership

Seven years ago the leadership at Monitor saw the possibility for engaging in transforming philanthropy by supporting New Profit. That vision has evolved to become one of the most comprehensive and high-impact cross-sectoral partnerships in the country. The Monitor Group, a global strategy firm, has made a multi-year, multi-million dollar investment of pro-bono consulting and other support for New Profit’s work. Today, the collaboration is an essential part of Monitor’s work to catalyze innovations that accelerate the successful application of resources—human, intellectual, and financial—to create positive social outcomes. The results delivered through the New Profit fund would not be possible without this strategic approach, and Monitor Group’s contributions to New Profit (see below).

Since 1998, more than 230 Monitor consultants have worked closely with both New Profit and its portfolio organizations to address many of the key strategic issues facing nonprofits today. Senior leaders within Monitor have also spent significant time providing CEO-level coaching to social entrepreneurs. This unparalleled partnership between a nonprofit organization and an international strategy firm has enhanced the capacities of both organizations, particularly in the areas of talent development, networking and community building, and has helped evolve new approaches to solving entrenched social problems.
