
Based in Arlington, Virginia, Brett Jenks has been the president and CEO of Rare since 2000 and has worked in the field of conservation and rural education since 1992. A former journalist and filmmaker, he joined Rare's staff as a program director in 1995 after living and working for five years in Mexico and Costa Rica. Brett is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, where he received magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa honors. He received an M.B.A. from Georgetown University.
