Andrea Martinez Frey
Philanthropic Advisor
As Philanthropic Advisor, Andrea leads and supports strategic investor relations initiatives, designed to create an engaged, informed, and connected investor community. She is responsible for building and implementing a robust investor relations program that powerfully engages our investor community, providing regular and meaningful communications and engagement opportunities.
Andrea has always had a passion for people, and enjoys listening and learning about other's challenges, opportunities, and hopes for the future. She is driven and inspired by each story she's heard along the way, and is excited to listen, learn, and build new relationships with the New Profit community.

Andrea joined New Profit in April 2011 after working for four years at The Boston Foundation in a number of roles, but most recently as Program Officer with a focus on community affairs and capacity building. Andrea was the content expert for the Foundation on capacity building and technical assistance options for nonprofits in the Greater Boston area, as well as the liaison between the nonprofit community and the Foundation pertaining to all aspects of grantmaking. Prior to The Boston Foundation, Andrea worked in the healthcare field at both Massachusetts General Hospital as a Systems Analyst and Children's Hospital Boston as a Project Coordinator for a research project focused on piloting electronic medical records at local universities. Andrea received her B.A. in Political Science at the University of Connecticut, an M.P.H. from Florida State University, and a certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from Boston University.

Andrea lives with her husband, Kelly, and their three dogs, Ricky, Lucy, and Buddy in Natick, MA. She enjoys taking her dogs for hikes, trying tasting menus at all the "hot spots" in Boston, and running road races.
