Monitor Group
Eleven years ago, Monitor Group's leadership saw great potential to help advance solutions to some of our society's most complex social challenges by supporting New Profit. Today that vision has evolved to become one of the most comprehensive and high-impact cross-sector partnerships in the country.
Since 1998, more than 300 Monitor consultants have worked closely with New Profit and our portfolio organizations to address many of the key strategic issues facing nonprofits today. In 2009 alone, nearly 20 senior leaders at Monitor spent significant time providing CEO-level coaching and other advisory services to New Profit and portfolio social entrepreneurs. This unparalleled partnership has enhanced the capacities of all organizations involved, particularly in the areas of talent development, networking, and community building, and has helped create new approaches to supporting social innovation.

An Extraordinary Commitment for the Future
In 2008, Monitor Group made a commitment to provide $25 million in pro-bono services and support to New Profit and its portfolio organizations through 2012. This pledge brings Monitor's total contribution to more than $50 million in the past decade, and reflects Monitor's deep commitment to helping us fulfill our mission.

Monitor Institute
Monitor Institute, Monitor Group's social change practice, helps innovative leaders develop and achieve sustainable solutions to significant social and environmental problems. The Institute has supported New Profit's development in several ways: leading Monitor consulting teams that work with New Profit portfolio organizations; providing design, facilitation, and content for the annual Gathering of Leaders; and assisting New Profit with its own strategy and development. The Institute and New Profit share a commitment to experimenting with new ways to foster organizational growth and innovation, and to finding new ways for organizations to work together to achieve things they cannot do alone.
Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied to a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
