Martha Piper, Partner Martha Piper joined New Profit as a Partner in January 2007. Martha works closely with several of New Profit’s portfolio organizations, creating action plans tailored to the organizations’ needs and stages of development. Martha also plays a leading role in designing New Profit’s annual Gathering of Leaders, and oversees New Profit’s communications efforts.
Prior to coming to New Profit, Martha was a Managing Director at the Corporate Executive Board (CEB), a $350 million publicly-held best-practice research firm in Washington, DC. In her nine years at CEB, Martha led the Corporate Strategy Board, a business unit helping strategy and corporate development executives build and improve their grow strategies. She also led the Operations Practice, which included three business units serving supply chain, procurement, and corporate real estate executives. She held broad P&L responsibility for product, sales, and marketing strategy. Martha also spent several years as a consultant at Ernst & Young and in the insurance industry. Martha graduated from Miami University with a BA in International Studies, and received a Master of Business Administration from the University of Virginia’s Darden School.
