Jeff Berndt joined New Profit Inc. as Partner and Chief Development Officer in 2008. In addition to overseeing all investor and fundraising efforts, Jeff will work with our portfolio organizations assisting and advising them with their fundraising strategies. Jeff began working with New Profit in an advisory and planning role in 2007 as the organization launched planning for a major capital campaign.

Jeff came to New Profit with 15 years of fundraising and capital campaign experience. Most recently, he was Director of Development at Noble and Greenough School, an independent day school outside of Boston. At Nobles, he oversaw a staff of 17 people where he designed and implemented the nation’s first ever $100 million independent day school campaign. Before joining Nobles, Jeff worked at Middlesex School for eight years, where he was a senior member of a team that raised a then record setting $125 million capital drive. Earlier in his career, he was a program officer for a state funded anti-smoking grant and he worked at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Jeff lives in Cohasset, Massachusetts with his wife, Kristin, and their two sons, Erik and Tyler.
